I finished the cuckoo clock. It was so much fun to make. Both Derek and Libby have been sick this week, so the bird house also served as a really good stress reliever admits sick kid mania. 
I still have to work on the bird that comes out of the door, I would love to find some clock works that fit. Right now the finished house is 10" high and 5"ish inches across. I dont know if the nomb is politically correct......
One of my hidden loves is cuckoo clocks. I dont know why, buy they just pop out at me every time I see one. For a while I wanted to send for a kit and make my own...They I tried to find one used..risky. But as with anything in my life, I am going to try to make one out of paper. Jeremy brought home some boxes of cookies for the kids and they were packaged like they were going to the moon, but the boxes are the perfect size for little tiny cuckoo clocks. Anyway here are some pictures of my prototype. Tell me what you think. 
I am pretty sure you can buy little tiny clock works for clocks, even ones made out of paper.
