gifts
I love my husband, dont get me wrong....and I know the true meaning of Christmas is giving and not receiving. But I think that every women has the right to gripe about how their husband gives gifts... here is mine.
Big J likes to give what I call hypothetical gifts. He comes up with these great ideas, and they are really great. He gives the idea as a gift and then goes on living his life, and usually forgetting about me gift. Examples:
1. Deep sea fishing
2. He said that he would let me get a cat, even though he hates cats...His gift to me was the submission of is cat will
3. Roller blades, it was hypothetical because when he gave me this"gift" I was 6 months pregnant.
There are a couple more, but as I think of them, I smile and I know he loves me, because they really are good ideas. Full of thought and love. It is my womanly right to grip about gifts, but in the end, I could care less. My family is healthy, happy and together. Merry Christmas everyone. I will see you in 2008. I will leave you with a wish list of un-hypothetical gifts.

I love all of those hypotheticals...I mean, really. I've got to say, though, I'd rather the deep sea fishing trip and the roller blades stay hypothetical if it were me, I'd be no good at either of them. Where's the cat?

My husband used to give me gifts that he wished I would like, rather than ones I actually wanted ... the ice fishing pole, the recumbent exercise bike (I'm a treadmill person). But he has gotten better and better the longer we've been married. This year I got voice lessons! I KNOW he doesn't want me to want them, but I do!

I recently met your sister Channing, who shared your website with me. We've become rug hooking buddies since she moved here to Utah - she does great work! And from looking at your blog and etsy shop I think talent must run in your family!
